Good Morning, We have moved over to MailChimp temporarily. I am wondering if anyone has any information about "list warm ups"? Did you do this, if so, how did you handle it? Thank you for your help.
I would definitely suggest sending to smaller, more engaged lists to start with. If you're not there permanently, and you're including MailChimp branding, you'll probably want to say something if your email is going to your usual patrons. Otherwise, you should ask your tech people about establishing a new DNS. What you don't want is a lot of unsubscribes or people marking you as spam.
Hi Jessica,
We are using a combination of building lists in Tessitura containing only people who have meaningfully engaged with us in the last 6 months and using the MailChimp functionality of sending in batches - I think this is available in the Standard plan.
Our IT team also helped with verifying and authenticating our domain through MailChimp - see here: https://mailchimp.com/en-gb/help/set-up-email-domain-authentication/
We used this tool to check how our emails did in terms of spam: https://www.mail-tester.com/
Hope this helps!
