We are creating a WordFly Pages survey to send out but also have a phone piece to it so some of our callers will be contacting patrons by phone to ask the same questions. Is it possible to have the pages survey available to answer the same questions? Also, how do others get around limitations to attribute descriptions and making a survey question understandable 10 years down the road?
Hi Michele -
I'm not going to try to tackle the 'how to make this world understandable in 10 years' question, as would have a hard time explaining it now! It's a good question, I hope you get some answers.
I can answer the WordFly Pages question for you. You *can* send a link to the WordFly Pages directly to anyone, but the information to those answers would only be stored in WordFly and not transferred down to Tessitura as there would be no customer number linked to the survey.
It is, theoretically, possible to make a custom link with the customer number embedded in it, if your phoners were savvy enough to do this. When you are logged in to WordFly and looking at your Pages - there's an area that shows you two links: an anonymous one and one to tie to specific subscribers (customers). The anonymous one will gather the info in WordFly only. If you look at the linked one, it relies on a dynamic replacement of the customer number in Tessitura to be tied back to the Tessitura account. You can manipulate that manually and send it out. I'd give it some tests to make sure you understand the 'how' around it.
Hope that helps with at least your first question!
Best,
Heather
Thank you so much Heather! My colleague wondered if that was an option so we're going to test it out.
Jamie O'Brien (The New 42nd Street) did a wicked MiniMagic last year that had a bit on Anonymous Feedback adding to Tessitura from WordFly Pages. I've used that process and it works fine. If you want to use the WordFly capture results though it might be better to pivot the WordFly csv.

Thanks Heath. We ended up going the attributes route so that we can record responses from both our callers and from Pages.
To finish up this thread, we ended up using the Description field in T_Keyword to explain the questions in full for the future.
