Exists

Additional functionality has been added to v16 in order to automatically extend the expiration date of a source code and notify the organization via email alert to the situation so they can proactively resolve the issue without interruption to TNEW.

Let's write an error to a log instead of rendering e-commerce sites unavailable if default source expires.

It's that time of year again, when popups in the Tessitura client and e-mails from support remind us (and remind us) to make sure we have an unexpired source in T_DEFAULTS, even if we already do.

Could we, finally, write an error to a log instead of disabling TNEW in the (unimaginable, yes, but still possible) case that we do start a new Fyear with no active source in T_DEFAULTS? Would the sky fall if a few orders had an expired source on them? It might if TNEW fails completely, as it does now if it finds no active default source.

This is such a dumb, embarrassing design flaw, one that has existed for far too long. Could we drive a stake through it, at long last? Please?
