Issues with service pack update

Hi everyone,

We did the point update to v15.2.34 last week (we are RAMP/Hosted).  Everything looked fine in testing, and as it was "only a service pack update", I didn't really have any qualms about going to Live.  Ever since the live update happened, though...  users are getting a TON of daily dashboard emails, even if they weren't subbed to them (I have a RIDICULOUS number of them).  Support just told me that that's a defect with the upgrade process, that wasn't mentioned ahead of time, and that the onus is on the dashboard owners to check each dash and unsubscribe people.  And today, a 3rd party emailed me saying that they were receiving scheduled reports not meant for them.  I checked the report schedule, and their email address is not attached to any current schedules.

Has anyone else done this service pack update and had it not go smoothly?  We've all talked about the many, many issues with v16 update, but I (mistakenly) thought a small service pack update would be smoother...

  • Another follow up here, as there is some very fair concern that this issue was part of some earlier v16 problems.  Here is a bit of background on the issues that came up earlier with v16 and the distinction of what happened with the v15.2.34 upgrade.  I will also add that since the fix last week to v15.2.34, we have not had further reports of this issue.

One of the noted issues we first encountered in v16, wherein when the pre-built dashboards were updated during the upgrade process, all users received a one-time email notification from each pre-built dashboard indicating that a new dashboard had been shared with them. This was resolved in v16 and the fix ported into v15 prior to members upgrading to v15.2.34.

The other issue that we encountered manifested after a completed upgrade, whether to v16 or the latest v15, resulting in all users with whom dashboards were shared being opted-in to receive nightly email delivery of all or some of those dashboards. This issue was not due to code in the Tessitura product, but in a utility used by our Hosting teams to move members’ dashboards between Sisense instances.

Lastly, if you are continuing to have issues with Analytics, please do submit a support ticket so the team can work with you to resolve it as quickly as possible.  Very sorry again for the disruption this has caused all of you!
