Hello all,
I am trying to create a line graph in Analytics that shows the sales for a concert each day, for 30 days before the concert. I am hoping it's easy enough to change that to 14 before, 20 before, etc. I added to the X-Axis "Order Days Prior to Performance" (see image) and the numbers aren't right. I'm not sure what's actually being pulled.
I appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you!
Hi Cristal,
We actually rename this and similar fields in v16 for clarity around the negative numbers. If you see -30, that's 30 days before the performance. The filter that you're showing there, for >= -30 is correct for the 30 days prior to the performance up until the 0-day of the performance.
Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. I know that -30 is showing the previous 30 days, but the ticket sales amounts that are being displayed are not correct (or at least not what I would expect to see). I have reviewed our sales numbers from running Ticket Sales By Period reports looking at sales on specific days and performances and the $ amounts don't match the amounts shown in Analytics. Is there another report I can use to verify those numbers or a reason why those numbers would not match daily sales amounts as would be expected?
Oh! Sorry for misunderstanding, Cristal. Best thing would be a support ticket please. They’ll get you sorted. Thanks!
To debug I'd do one or more of the following.
*To be honest there are a couple of reasons that I have taken to using buckets over break-bys in line charts - especially with running sums.
Hope that helps a bit.
Hi Heath! Thank you so much, all of your tips were so helpful. I'm still very much a newbie to Analytics. I also had way too many fiscal years selected in my filters. I found the answer to a different but related question in an old post- https://community.tessituranetwork.com/tessitura_software_forums/f/tessitura_shared_reports-9/26714/displaying-days-with-no-data/74362#74362
The numbers looked "wrong" because it didn't plot the data for days without sales. I'm counting the days until we can get v16 going. :)
