thinking about TNEW

We are part of a consortium and thinking about using TNEW for some of our smaller sub-consortium members.  Can anyone currently using TNEW offer thoughts about ease of use, flexibility, level of support, etc.

Thanks!

  • Amy,

We are a consortium of 7 organizations and 4 of us use TNEW.  The configuration and set up for a consortium environment is very easy.  Each organization manages their content and everything is flexible enough where tickets can be sold on multiple TNEW sites at the same time if so desired (with the same content so it only has to be configured once).  TNEW is a fantastic option and easy to start using right out of the box.  You can add some customizations to make the purchase path more complex if you’d like, but most functionality needed is already built into TNEW.  Support is a breeze because each organization has their own TASK account to get help straight from the TNEW team so I don’t have to manage and support it for them (I have enough on my plate with just Tessitura itself for everyone!).  The TNEW team is amazing and helpful, always.

If you couldn’t tell, I’m a huge fan of TNEW and love talking with people about it.  If you’d like to talk offline, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  As an added plug, if anyone from your group is going to the conference this year, there is a TNEW Magic session where a few of us TNEW licensees share some of the customizations we’ve implemented in TNEW.  I’d also suggest attending the Tessitura hosted TNEW sessions.

  • Thanks for the response Teresa.

It sounds like a great option.  Yes a number of us our going to the conference and will be looking at the TNEW sessions.  I may give you a call as we investigate this option more.

  • Hi Amy,

We'd be happy to do a demo of TN Express Web for you and anyone else at the consortium who might be interested. Just shoot an email to tnew@tessituranetwork.com and we'll line something up.

  • What Teresa said. :)

(happy to talk offline too if you want)

    Hi Amy,

We too are part of a consortium in Sydney, Australia, and it works very well for our needs and is an inexpensive avenue if you haven't yet jumped on the web integration bandwagon.  You can link to any of the TNEW pages of your choosing from your own hosted site.

In addition to Teresa's advice, it is definitely worth having some knowledge of HTML as you can add your own content to pages within TNEW - there will be a session on this at the 2012 conference.

If you want to have a squiz, our site is www.brandenburg.com.au and you will know you are on our TNEW site when the URL switches to mybrandenburg.com.au.

    cheers,
