Quick poll... who is doing online exchanges / ticket returns out there?  Anyone willing to talk with another organization about the process?

Thanks much,
Kristin

  • I am but just for employees for managing their comp tickets. Working on patron exchanges and donations as well. The hurdle there isn't technical but the business rules.

    Happy to help as well.

  • Kristin,

Give Sean a call he would be happy to help.  Let me know if you need his contact info.  I suspect you don't.

  • We're doing exchanges, but not returns... Happy to chat about it, although we're definitely not the 'normal' web API implementation.

Thanks much all!  This is super.  I'll refer folks to this thread if they are interested in talking with others that have implemented it.

  • Hi Mary. Are you guys still doing exchanges online? What's the general process? Do they log in online and just click on the date they want to exchange? If they exchange into less expensive dates where does the money go? Is there a separate GL for these return funds? We're looking into offering this option online. Thanks.
  • Adria, We have a separate web exchange mos created as we only allow exchanges up to 24 hours in advance. A patron would go to their account, access the order where the tickets were purchased and click a box for the tix they need to exchange. They then select their new seats and go to checkout. We've programmed so that they do not see a check out button until there is $25 or less of a difference in their cart. If we owe them this amount, we put it into an exchange voucher, valid for 3 months from date of issue. We also have our per ticket exchange fees set up on this mode of sale. Michele
  • Thanks for this Mary. We're about to implement the online exchanges now. Scary stuff.
