Running the Web-API in a separate Location

We are running are Tessitura system in our main office, but the Website is in a separate location.

We would like to know how many organization are running they're web infrastructure in a separate location (Building).

Therefore we will be making API calls to a separate box in a remote location..

Are you doing this and if so are you experiencing any issues.

  • Not sure if you mean running the gateway server or hosting the website at a remote location.  Our website is at a remote location, and Tessitura API calls seem to take a while (much slower than the sites of other Tess orgs I’ve tested).  We’ve been thinking about getting our website and Tessitura servers in the same location to reduce the lag.

Thank you for this very valuable information. We have the website at a remote location.

How are you comminicating with your website?  For example: A T1 10-20m Bits per second

See if he is communicating with the web site via a T1 or some faster line ( 10-20 mBits per second)

  • We are communicating over 2 bonded T1’s (3.0 Mbps). However, it is also the same line that office email, internet, and all other data goes over.
