Is it possible to change the shipping method for contributions on TNEW? Currently it's set to "This order does not require shipping", however the majority of contributions going through our website are memberships, which do have a shipping component. I'd like to change it to something akin to "Your membership card/voucher/etc will be posted shortly".
I can't see to find any table settings or documentation for this.

I checked in with the TNEW team and there isn't an out-of-the-box way of changing the shipping information content for contributions. However, they do think a customization would be possible to change this, so you might want to open a ticket with them to explore further.
We've decided to just use the LTR_TNEW_DYN_EMAIL_CONTENT table to include the membership specific shipping information (you could also use the Receipt_Contrib_HTML entry in the LTR_TNEW_EMAIL_SETTINGS if you want this information to appear for all contribution types). The stock 'This order does not require shipping' will still appear, but at least the messaging will be included right below their account information.
We have the same issues for any Contributions (membership or otherwise) and I think enhancement request for this is the way to go. We have the same as Nick suggested with DYN_SHIPP_METHOD message but the 'This order..." message still appears which isn't very customer friendly and is slightly confusing. We have similar problems with HABO events, and have submitted a enhancement request for that.

We are running into the same. We would love to customize the TNEW "order" confirmation to act as a gift acknowledgement when someone makes a contribution only. It's confusing for a patron to see an order confirmation when they only made a contribution. I wonder if anyone has had success in modifying the confirmation, in a conditional way, more than the dyn email system table.
