Ticket Designs - Slide Up Functionality

We are having an issue with the Slide Up functionality on our Post Ticket Header.

We have all address elements on the Post Header set to slide up to fill gaps when fields are missing information - which is pretty standard. For local addresses we do not print the country, however we would like this to appear for international addresses for the rare occasion that we would send tickets internationally.

Our issue arises when the country is required to be printed. We have two data elements (State and Postal Code) that fall directly above the Country element. When we have the country element set to slide up it overwrites these two fields. I have tried to separate the state and postal code elements so that one of these is not directly above the country field - however when I set the country field to slide up with this layout, the ticket header prints completely blank.

The documentation on Ticket Design covers slide left but there doesn't seem to be anything on sliding up.

Is there anyone else that has experienced this issue that is willing to share their solution. I feel that it will be a simple fix and I am sure that I have achieved the same at previous organisations that I have worked - however the solution now escapes me...

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and regards,

Mardi.

  • Thanks Kevin.

Our Post header has the following fields:

    Salutation 1

    Street 3

    Street 2

    Street 1

    City

    State    Post Code

    Country Long

All of these fields have been set to slide up. The State field and Country Long field are in the same column. We have a case statement so that the country only prints when it is something other than ‘Australia’.

Our issue occurs when we go to print an international address on the Post Header. In these instances the country slides up and prints over the top of the state and postcode fields. My understanding is that the country field should only slide up if the state field is empty. I have also tried moving the Postcode field so that is does not fall in any of the same columns as the Country field – however this results in the whole header printing blank.

Let me know if this does not give you enough to go on!

    Thanks and regards,

    Mardi.

    Hi Mardi,

This topic details how slide (both up and left works): http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System/Content/Ticket%20Design/Slide.htm

The key for sliding is that elements need to be in the exact same column for sliding up or the same row for sliding left.  So if you want something to slide up when an element above it is blank, the two elements need to have the exact same column value.

I’m not entirely understanding the problem you are running into.  What do you want to slide up and when?  Can you give an example of the element layout, something like this:

    Name

    Street 1

    City, State Postal Code

    Country
