We're trying to kick off a pre-sale web promo, but having great difficulty in getting any performances to show ..
We're a TNEW client. We want ALL performances available upon entry of a promo code:
- the promo code is linked to a valid source no
- the promo code is linked to a standard price type
- the performances are all set up with the WEB-promo code and as a TNEW stage event
- the promo start date is last week
We must be overlooking something ?!? - if we put the internet mode of sale on with the current date then all performances show up - of course, for now we're trying to restrict it to the pre-sale promo code...
any suggestions ?!?!

Hi John,
When you want to set up a presale, you need to create a special mode of sale for the presale (be sure you associate it with the prices you want available and the Unallocated allocation code and give the Web API user security access to it), add it to the performances (with active dates that encompass your presale), and then set up a shift to the special mode of sale based on the entry of a source in TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO.
It sounds like you have set up offers, which change the price when you enter a source. Generally speaking, you don’t use an offer for a presale.

Thanks for the reply - we took the offer off and hopefully are treating it as a promo - but it still doesn't work - details :
The "WEB Promos" has been valid for several years to our API User, same for "Standard Single Ticket"
Checked the dates for the Source code - all good - running out of things to ,look at ......
Actually - if you enter the Promo code on the Login screen and hit Submit - you get "Invalid Promo Code"
If we put "Internet" MOS on a performance with 09/03/2012 date included - everything shows up - but not on Sale
I put in some partial screen shot of relevant entries in the Systems table - but looks like they were "lost" in transmission ............
It sounds like your promo code is not set up correctly (or you aren’t typing it correctly when you log in). Check to make sure that your promo code has been entered correctly and linked to the correct source in TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO.
Some other things to try:
Try using the pre-sale MOS in the application to purchase one of the shows. If that is successful you know your mode of sale setup is correct.
Try entering the source code (i.e. the number) not the promo code on your website when logging in. If it works you know the mode of sale shift is being triggered successfully and the problem is your promo code.
If none of these suggestions help you figure it out, you should open a help ticket.
