Single Ticket Source Code

we are getting ready for our single ticket campaign to launch for the first time on Tessitura and are wondering what other organizations are using as a single ticket source code. Is it as simple as creating a source code named "single ticket" or do you break it down further or add in the year etc

any advice is welcomed with open arms :-)

  • Julie,

We use sources to describe how a patron heard about the particular concert they are purchasing.  I will try to make our process as brief as possible….

    ·         We have appeals named for each type of communication for example Ticketing 12/13 Print

    ·         Under that appeal we have a source for each type of print, some examples are:

    o   The Tennessean

    o   City Paper

    o   Bus Bench Poster

    ·         We also name our sources (outside sources only) in a way that makes them easy to sort by type in the drop down menu, for example.

    o   12/13 Print – The Tennessean

    o   12/13 Radio – Mix 92.9

    o   12/13 TV – WSMV Channel 4

Because the web uses only one default source we set up our orders to ask where they heard about the show, that information is added to order notes and when we check orders the next day we change the source to match what they have entered.  If they haven’t entered anything we stick with the default source.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Best,
