Pulling Promo Codes

Hi all,

Tessitura newbie here.

We just offered a discount for one of our shows both on our website and through phone and walk-up offers. We used a few different promo codes so we can track how each one did.

This is the first time the company has used promo codes in years. IT was set-up so that all the promo codes for one show (all for the same price) are under the same Source Number.

Is there anyway to separate how each promo code did within the source number?

Thanks,

Cathy

  • Hi Ken,

Thank you so much for this information. It is very helpful. And now we know that next time we will have to use separate source codes!

    Thanks again,

    Cathy

    Hi Cathy

Don't think so. If I recall correctly, the API just uses the promo code to look up the source no, then uses the source no from then on. It doesn't save the promo code anywhere. And for the live sales, you just select the source no.

To do what you want, I think you'd need to have multiple source codes.

And that is the fundamental logic of source codes, of course - to split out orders into where they came from, in a marketing sense.
