Add-on Concerts to Online Subscription Renewal

Hello!

We are working on launching our online renewals in a couple of weeks. We would love to offer subscribers the option to order additional "special" concerts to their order if they choose.

I'm very sure we've got it set up within Tessitura to make it work. However, we're having a problem deciding how it would happen online.

The process currently includes:

1) Log on to your account
2) Confirm your subscription order (we will only be offering straight renewals with no changes online this first year)
3) Donation ask
4) Cart/Checkout

If we want to mimic the order of the renewal form, the special concerts would be offered as step 3. We have approximately 10 concerts next season that are available to subscribers when they renew.

Do any other organizations offer add-on concerts during the renewal process? Would you mind sharing how it works within your system?

Thanks!

  • Before we upgraded our website, subscription renewals were on a single web page with all options and checkout contained in that one form. So, it was as easy as presenting the available performances.

If I recall, I would have used GetProductions and filtered it on the subscription MOS and ReserveTicketsUnSeated because we wouldn't want to seat singles before the subscriptions (we don't seat subscriptions at time of purchase, it's handled afterwards manually by box office staff)

With the new site, the renewal process is integrated into the patron account management section where they can see order history, etc...If they have a renewal order they will see it and a link button to "Renew Subscription as is" or a second button "Modify Subscription Renewal" - if they do a straight renewal the item is added to the cart and they are promptly whisked to the cart page. Our donation ask is always on the cart page. They can continue to add any other items to the cart at that point.

The Modify button will take them to the subscription sales page where they can choose the sub options they want which will then be added to the cart as an upgrade line that will, again, be managed manually by staff post sale.

    Good luck!
