E-Tickets vs. Print at Home

Hi everybody,

The New Vic is looking to go down the route of Print at Home tickets, but in my research there seems to be very little information about PAHT's cousin, e-tickets (i.e., a ticket that can be scanned via the screen on an iPhone, Android, etc.).

Does anyone employ e-tickets in conjunction with PAHT? Or, have you simply been able to use N-Scan to record the bar-codes from emailed ticket pdfs?

What kind of hiccups, front of house and otherwise, have been experienced with e-tickets?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Hello Brett,

We launched our mobile site in the begining of this month.  We are using etickets on mobile devices.  They work very well when being scanned off phones.  On the etickets page we have two  views of the ticketing information.  The first view is the eticket with the seating information.  The second view that can be  shown is a condensed view with just the seating information for the ushers to use when seating.

On this screen we also have the ability  to email the eticket to someone else.  We basically call the printtickets method a second time.  The one thing that I have noticed when scanning the screen is that  you do not see the scan  box on the screen like you do with paper tickets.

I did submit our mobile site to task and in the package there is a document with many of the screen shots of the site.  If you have any questions let me know.
