Rollover Question.

Hello there.

I've been asked what happens to a patron if they sit in a seat that has been repriced, would their Rollover be at the original price or the new price. Am I right in thinking that the Rollover process doesn't actually care about pricing? As long as the Facility that is being rolled over from matches the Facility of where the rollover is going to, the cost of the seats/subscription is irrelevant?

Thanks Paul.

  • During a rollover, you can specify how price types roll over. For instance, you can say that your group subscription price type rolls over to a different group subscription price type. So, in that sense, as long as you do your price mapping properly, the rollover doesn’t care what the old price was. However, once the rollover is done, the price is set in the orders created or added to by the rollover and in the t_cust_subscription_summary table. You can’t easily change price after that point without unseating and reseating affected orders. There is great documentation that I reread every subscription season!
