Delete Price Map

Hi All

We have a little problem. We sold tickets to a performance and then the price was changed. SO,

  • We created new price maps which we associated to the existing price type in the production (we had the end date of the old and the start date of the new separated by 1 minute)
  • We went back in, returned the tickets so no sales exist with the old map

But now the performance sales by price type report incorrectly DOUBLES the sales information provided in the Season Overview (which shows the right info)!

I have been playing around within our TEST environment with:

  • Start/End date
  • Inactivating the price map in Facility Manager
  • Deleting the map from the performance

and the only thing that  fixes it is to delete the map from the build. The documentation says NOT to delete a price map once it has been used but since we returned all the tickets that used that map, is it still used?

Thanks in advance for any help!

You can delete a price map that was previously associated, I switch them out all the time.  The doubling is usually the number of tickets, not usually the revenue and that is because you have more than one price map that is marked as "ticket price" and most reports pull number of tickets by counting the "ticket price" price maps.
