Ticket Fees by Payment Method?

We're looking to waive our processing fee on any cash/check orders but increase the fee for those patrons using a credit card.  I have been playing with the Fees area but do not see fee rules determined by Payment method as an option.  Does anyone have any suggestions or have any insight as to how we might go about this?

Many thanks and see you all in Orlando!!

  • We are doing a similar thing here in Australia. Our promoters may choose to pass the credit card fees on to the consumer. We handle this by creating separate cash and credit card price types and then assign fees based on the Price Type.

Let me know if you would like more information on our set up.

    Thanks and regards,

    Mardi.

And at this time, the only way to handle this would be manually.  Either manually add the fee or manually override it.

Didn't even think this might be an issue-thank you both for bringing it to my attention.  It would be terrible if we got into hot water over something like this!

    Hi Mary,

I just wanted to send a warning about fees. I know that you can have issues with credit card companies if they are made aware that you are charging more of a fee for credit card purchases than you are for cash/check. You may want to make sure that you are in compliance with this before making a move. I’d hate to see your organization get dinged on the fees because of this.
