Student Pricing - checking their ID

Hi there,

Our "Next" program student tickets are online-only, print-at-home only.
They have a unique ticket design that really stands out, so the usher knows
to see an ID before they scan them in to the theater. We add messaging
everywhere along the buy path, on the e-receipt & the print-at-home ticket
itself explaining that they must present their student ID along with their
ticket to the ticket-taker at the theater entrance. We also emailed a few
reminder to big shows last season telling them they have to present their
ID.

Before student tickets were print-at-home only they were Will Call only
(still online-only for purchasing, though), and they had to show an ID to
the Box Office staffer in order to get their ticket.

Hi,


I was wondering how people got around the issue of student pricing on the
web and checking IDs. Say, for instance, that you offered student prices on
the web - how do you handle the need to see some form of ID?


I was thinking perhaps creating a CSI type so that when the order comes in
using that price type, the box office operator knows to create a CSI and
ask the purchaser to fax or email through their ID.


But I was curious to see what other people did with this one.
