Pricing missing in new zone map

Greetings to all.

I've set up a new zone map in an existing facility. It's not returning any pricing information, although I can "purchase" tickets in an order. The Web API field <available> is reporting 'N' for the two new zones in the new zone map (I verified the correct zone IDs from T_ZONE).

Oddly enough, when I duplicated one of the malfunctioning performances (in Production Elements), it returned correct pricing information when I purchased a ticket there.

Before I go ahead and duplicate the performances (of which there are dozens, all of which are in packages that would also need to be reconfigured), does anyone have insight into why this error would occur?

  • Anytime you add a new Zone Map to a facility, the script has to be run.  This is a step I've forgotten a couple of times this season.  You also need to make sure that the new map is applied to the Prize Zone tab under Facility Manager.  A newly created zone has to be applied to the seat maps.  I just thought about that step, I've missed it a few times also.  :o)

    Chiming in here to correct a bit of misinformation.  If an existing zone map that is attached to existing performances is modified, the UP_UPDATE_ZONE_NO procedure must be run to update the existing performance seats to reflect the zone map changes.  The procedure can be passed a season parameter so that only performances in that season are updated based upon the new zone map configuration.  UP_UPDATE_ZONE_NO does not need to be run when a new zone map is added to a facility.  Once the new zone map is added to a facility, and the price maps are attached to the zone map and configured appropriately, I would suggest running the "Validate Completeness" check on the facility to ensure that everything has been configured.  Once the new zone map is complete, it can then be added to new performances without running UP_UPDATE_ZONE_NO.
     
    It is not completely clear what the exact issue is that Jason has encountered, but Jason, if you would submit a help ticket via TASK, Support will help you get to the bottom of the problem.

    Is that true even if the zone map was created fresh, and the performances in question were created subsequent to it?
