Hi All!
My first Tessitura Network posting! :) I'm in my second week of processing subscription orders as we've just converted from ProVenue to Tessitura, so bear with me!
In previous seasons, we have given folks who purchase our fixed packages the option of holding their seats for a year without buying them. We call it putting their seats on sabbatical. In ProVenue, we "sold" them a "series chart" which would then hold those seats for them and also made sure that they'd get renewal materials the next year.
Is there a way to do a similar thing in Tessitura? If so, I'd love some guidance on how to do this!
Thanks so much!
Jenny
Great responses everyone! I had totally overlooked returning the performance seats, which is the simplest route.
Jenny, since this is your first season on Tessitura, I wanted to add that returning the performance seats from a package in this kind of situation can be a little tricky (you can’t just load the order, go to the seat map, and release everything but the base seats). You are going to have to print the tickets before you can return them (or probably fake print them by printing to a null printer). So for the sabbatical people, I would change the price on the package to comp (because seats have to be paid before you can print them), print the tickets, then start returning the performance seats (do not return seats on the composite map as that will also return the base seat). As has already noted, if the base seats remain in place, the sabbatical people will be included in the rollover next year automatically (unless you use a list with the rollover that doesn’t include them).
If you aren’t sure how to return the seats or anything else in this process, let me know and I can point you to the documentation that explains it.

Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions! This is super helpful! I had been thinking about returning all the performances but keeping the base seats so I'm glad to know that I was headed in the right direction.
Thanks again!
