Fixed Package - seats on hold for a season?

Hi All!

My first Tessitura Network posting!  :)  I'm in my second week of processing subscription orders as we've just converted from ProVenue to Tessitura, so bear with me! 

In previous seasons, we have given folks who purchase our fixed packages the option of holding their seats for a year without buying them.  We call it putting their seats on sabbatical.  In ProVenue, we "sold" them a "series chart" which would then hold those seats for them and also made sure that they'd get renewal materials the next year. 

Is there a way to do a similar thing in Tessitura?  If so, I'd love some guidance on how to do this!

  • This is not unlike the process of exchanging one performance out of a subscription set. It will mean that the seats are not available for purchase as part of a subscription (and so you will not have a double up when rolling over the following year) however they are available for single sales.

    We've done what Amanda suggested and to my knowledge it went off without a hitch. Keeping the base seats allows you to sell the individual shows to whomever while preventing any fixed seat packages from being sold using those seats.
    I don't believe any other tracking needs to be done, I think they just rollover as per normal the next year as if they never left.

    I haven't done this, but it seems like you could just rollover everyone for your renewal, and then if someone wants to be on sabbatical, you just return their perf seats but leave the base seats.
