Automated Seating?

I am looking for some documentation on Automated Seating? Or just maybe a basic idea as to what it is, does?

  • Hi Amy,

    I think the basic idea behind it is that if you find yourself in a situation where you have paid, unseated orders for whatever reason, you can run this utility to seat them according to rank, if applicable.

    I responded to someone years ago about how the process works and this is taken from that response.

    "First it only works on fully paid orders and those orders need a price zone assigned.
    I believe that if you have more seats assigned a price zone than the price zone has available
    those extra orders will fail.
    Once you are ready, you create a “set” in the automated seating section of season manager
    ether at a package level or individual performance level and run the automated seating report
    in the ticketing processing reports folder against that set."

    I hope this helps, and if you find yourself in a situation where you think you might need use of this utility you might want to open a ticket on TASK first for assistance.
