Deleting MOS

Hi ticketing friends,

This may be a "n00b" or a "duh!" question, but here goes.

What happens if I delete a mode of sale from a performance after tickets have been sold to that performance under that MOS? Not expire, delete.

There's a long convoluted story behind this but if anyone has any thoughts just given the case, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

  • For one, you won’t be able to delete it because it’s been used in orders.

You’ll have to make it inactive unless you did a few backend edits.

It's a no harm, no foul situation. Just re-add the MOS and all is forgiven and forgotten. If you don't re-add it, then those orders will be unalterable, as you can't access them any longer since there's no MOS, but if you just re-add the MOS, you're good to go.

  • Thanks, Ryan & Matthew. I haven’t removed it yet – figured I should ask before I change. J This has to do with a little annoyance with our web code, nothing I can’t work around from a customer service standpoint.

  • If you just need to hide a performance on your website, have you tried using the Web Publish Dates on the performance?
