We are currently changing our fee structure to have all fees embedded in the ticket price and to not be added on top. We are running into trouble with our group and member discounts, which are 10% off the base ticket price, not including fees. In giving this 10% discount with the fees embedded, the discount comes off of the fees, which we do not want to happen. For example, if a base ticket price is $50 and the $5 fee is embedded, the customer will only see the price as $55. In turn, the discount should appear to the customer as $49.50. However, we want the discount to only apply to the $50 base price, which would appear to the customer as a total price of $50, which is obviously not the full 10% off. Has anyone run into a similar situation and figured out a successful way to handle this?
Wehave one Price Map which is the ticket price and a second Price Map which are fees.
Then you can put the 10% discount just on the ticket price map and leave your fee as is.
