We are currently changing our fee structure to have all fees embedded in the ticket price and to not be added on top. We are running into trouble with our group and member discounts, which are 10% off the base ticket price, not including fees. In giving this 10% discount with the fees embedded, the discount comes off of the fees, which we do not want to happen. For example, if a base ticket price is $50 and the $5 fee is embedded, the customer will only see the price as $55. In turn, the discount should appear to the customer as $49.50. However, we want the discount to only apply to the $50 base price, which would appear to the customer as a total price of $50, which is obviously not the full 10% off. Has anyone run into a similar situation and figured out a successful way to handle this?

Are you using the discount functionality through TR_DISCOUNT_TYPE? And the Fee embedded as a price map in the standard price type? If the fee is a price map then just make sure that the Minimum Price column amount equals the Price column amount, so in your example both columns would be $5.00. Then regardless of the type of discount applied to the ticket price, this price map/fee will never drop lower. The 10% discount will only apply to your revenue price map.

Wehave one Price Map which is the ticket price and a second Price Map which are fees.
Then you can put the 10% discount just on the ticket price map and leave your fee as is.

I do not even have the selection of TR_Discount_Type in my system tables. We are (unfortunately) in the process of upgrading from V. 8 to V.10. Is this feature in system tables new for V. 9 or V.10?
Also, I understand how to set up the fees as a separate price map then the base price so that the discount comes out of only the base price map and not the fee price map. My concern is that with the customer only seeing the price including the fee, the 10% discount will not actually appear to them to as a full 10% off, because it will not be taking the discount off the fees, which are included all together.
