Ticket Limit per performance?

Is there a way to restrict the number of tickets purchased for one perofrmance in an order?

True, but I think it only works if it is part of an offer.  I don’t know of a way to limit the number of tickets on one show to 4 and another show to 10 using the same default web MOS.

Yes...I just tested it and have it working for a special offer rate that we have. You can now use the offers tab under Modes of Sale and enact a ticket limit. Originally it would only limit it on non Web MOS but in the latest version it was rolled out to the web. You will need to get some messaging code written so you actually tell the patron what is happening rather than them getting the message that something went wrong.

There is a loophole in this because if the patron goes away and creates a brand new order they can buy another lot of tickets, etc.

  • You can, of course, put an offer on one performance with a max of 10 seats and another offer on another performance with a max of 4 seats.  And just set the offers to be all appeals, all sources.  Then with the right messaging you can limit sales to those performances.

You can do this all at once for a defined set of performances in Season Manager/Season Maintenance.

One thing to note is that if you are using multiple MOS/Price Type combinations and you want to limit sales in each combination, you have to set up the offer once for each combination.

You can find more information in this Ticket Pricing document.
