Hey Tessitura Network,
Does anyone do exchanges for ticket sold by another entity? We are the administrators in a constortium environment and are stuggling with reports when say the Broadway presenter sells the ticket and collects the funds and the venue does the exchange. Currently we are using custom reports to settle for Broadway shows and at this time do not offer "exchanges". If we do have to "exchange" a ticket , in order to keep the reports clean we do a full order refund and transact a new order.
Anyone with suggestions on some potential Tessitura reports that might track exchanges and each entities monies correctly-and work for Broadway settlements-please let us know
Thank you-Lisa Eichers
Did anyone ever come up with an answer to this?
We have a custom MOP report that has an “exchange” payment method. Generally for Broadway shows you would get Subscription or Group commission for these, but you would need to negotiate for an “exchange” commission rate for those orders that cannot be tracked to a specific payment method.
Contact me directly if you want to talk more about this.

We use a specific mode of sale for each resident company in the consortium for exchanges. i.e. Company A Exchanges, Company B Exchanges, Company C Exchanges, etc. The con is if the patron has multiple exchanges which includes the other company, you'd have to do separate transactions which can get a little time consuming.
