Good morning all,
I've been asked if Tessitura can be installed and run on an iPad, and don't know the answer. Does someone else know? Thanks.
Lesley
Lesley,
I haven't tried this yet but I suspect that you would not be able to. The only way we've gotten it to work on any Apple product in the past is on a Laptop that was dual booting an installation of Windows.
You *might* be able to use the iPad to remotely access a Windows machine which had Tessitura running. But that would depend on your particular setup and network configuration.
I've been pining for a way to do password resets from my iPhone for awhile but I haven't found anything that looks promising yet.
Installed, no. But using a remote access tool like logmein ignition on the iPad has worked for me to access my work computer and run Tess.

As mentioned, you can't *run* Tessitura from an iPad, but you can access it. We use VNC & Microsoft Remote Desktop/Terminal Server for a number of things, and I did try a brief iPad test. I didn't do much more than access my session, launch Tess and look myself up, but it is possible. "Right-clicking" a seat map would be a challenge, though.
Ignition is a good client, and can give you the ability to get through a firewall. Jaadu is a Remote Desktop client that worked on the local network. And I use Mocha VNC lite at home on an iPhone. So there's a few remote access options available, based on your network and budget.
I use Logmein Ignition too and it works like a charm. even with two screens, you just shake your iPad and it switches to the other, awesome! (Yes, I'm easily amused.)
