We are new to Tessitura, going live April 1st. I have to build all 150 shows into Tessitura and Tnew in the next 13 days. We have a member/donor presale from April 8-11th based on the level in their record. I was advised that using modes of sale and setting time restrictions was the most efficient way to go. So, with the new system, we are wanting to track how many are purchased via phone, web, in person, etc. . I set up the MOS for each level three times, web, phone, and in person. Is that necessary? Also, is there a way to set up modes of sale for a season so I do not have to manually add in each MOS on each show as I build them? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can do member/donor presales using a specific MOS, with the start date/time set to the presale time.
You can apply a MOS to all performances in bulk using Season Maintenance, which might be quicker for you.
As you're still onboarding with Tessitura, I'd ask the Support team for advice on your specific setup for this if I were you. They'll know how your membership levels have been setup and can advise on what presale setup will work best for your organisation.

Hi Linda. Welcome to Tessitura. MOS is the most helpful because it'll set the default sales channel that you'll use in analytics to report back. MOS control a lot of the transactional rules you'll want in Tessitura.
Everyone has their special recipe for creating perf's and seasons but for a lot of folks with annual onsales, and anyone doing bulk maintenance I recommend becoming familiar with Season Maintenance. For MOS the guide is here. I think there used to be online training on season maintenance but it's almost identical once you have selected all the perfs you want in the search screen. Remember to run in view current before view result, and take care with your eTicket Release Date. Oh and MOS set up for Packages is another task in case that's a consideration.
