Downgrade monies

When downgrading tickets to a lesser price level, what do you do with the remaining money if you do not offer refunds?  We've thought about having a downgrade fee and stashing the money there, but that's not our first choice.  Anything better to do??

We create a ‘downgrade’ payment form for each production. These house the exchange downgrades and come up on the payment drop-down so that the money can be applied to a subsequent exchange within the same production if necessary. Ticket value is also held in this way when a patron needs to release tickets for exchange before selecting a new performance date. This way the money can be tracked and remains attached to the production for which it was originally remitted.
