Hello All,
In trying to pay a subscription order out with a gift certificate balance, the following error window reads:
"Gift Certificate_is in use in Batch_and could not be locked"
This batch is currently in session today. Will closing the batch allow access to the gift certificate?
Any assistance is very much appreciated!
Hi Malcolm,
We get this from time to time as well, and closing the batch will clear it. I think there might be a shared report out there somewhere, that, when you run it, will clear the lock without closing the batch. But I could be dreaming!
Cheers,
Kathleen

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see the definitive version of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s classical musical Tell Me On A Sunday starring TV and stage favourite Claire Sweeney, in the Royal auditorium from Mon 30 August – Sat 4 September. Following this, from Tue 7 – Sat 11 September, Out Of Joint and Lyric Hammersmith bring The Big Fellah to the Royal – a dark, glinting, funny play that spans three turbulent decades of the Irish American Community in New York. This has happened to us before. After closing & posting the batch, we were able to access the Gift Certificate….if it doesn’t work the same day, you may have to wait till the following day.

If the Gift Certificate was used in a controlled batch, the gift certificate will be locked until the batch is closed (which confirms any payments/redemptions).
If this is occurring in an uncontrolled batch, try simply restarting Tessitura for the session containing the batch. It should clear out any locked transactions/payments.
Still locked? The trusty folks over at support have a few more tricks up their sleeve.

Restarting Tessitura for the user’s batch should fix this…you shouldn’t have to wait for the following day!
