offer not showing up on web

Hello there Tessiturians!

I have set up an offer, but it is not appearing on our website when I enter the promotion code.  I have set up many offers before without issue so I am a bit perplexed at the moment.

1) Security Module - access is granted to Web Group for both MOS and Price Type

2) Tessitura - TX_MOS_PRICETYPE is set, TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO has MOS and source code as I want to trigger a different MOS from the default Web Sales (This is the only price type I want patrons to see with this code), price type and MOS are associated to all applicable performances with correct date parameters, under the Offers tab the price type and source code have been associated to the applicable MOS

Can you see anything missing, or anything i have entered incorrectly?  This is the first offer of the upcoming season, so perhaps I am a little rusty on this one as it has been a while.

As always, thanks!

Duane

  • Duane,

Did you get this resolved?  If not I’ll add my two cents however late they may be.  I also check to see if the source number will work even if the code word does not.  I have discovered that the order in which I build the promo code elements really matters especially if I’m adding a new price type.  I find that I have to build the source code and make sure I have the entry in TR_WEB_PROMO before adding the new price type to the performance and then adding the offer to the mode of sale.

Thanks Kevin.  I will look into those two steps.  Much appreciated.

That is how the mode of sale change on the web is set up.

When you test on the website, have you confirmed that the mode of sale is being changed?  You should try completing an order even if the right prices aren’t coming up so that you can then check the order to see what MOS is on it.  If the mode of sale isn’t changing, that is probably the problem.  Something else could be in your website code that is overriding the MOS change.

Also, you should test the offer in the client using the new MOS, just to confirm that the offer is working with the new MOS.

To recap, there are two things you need to confirm:

Is the MOS being changed on the web?

Does the offer work with the new MOS in the client?

And if those tests don’t help you track down anything useful, I suggest you open a help ticket.

    Good luck!
