Hi Everyone - We're testing placing a COVID Health & Safety check box before people check out in TNEW. I got it to work and file a CSI in an account for an extra layer of documentation.
Unfortunately, setting this as required makes no sense to people who are ordering a digital show or making a donation. We can not require it, but then the people who may push back are the ones who probably won't check the box.
The other option is to add some text near the submit your order button "By submitting your order, you agree to our ticket and COVID H&S terms and conditions."
Does anyone have some workaround for this? I'm pretty sure that this out-of-box function is all or nothing in TNEW, but wanted to ask.
I literally just ran into this same issue last month. What we did was this:
I have reviewed McCarter’s COVID-19 policy and agree to comply with all the latest requirements to enter the theater, which currently include vaccination and masks.
I know it doesn't work for digital, but it works if someone wants to drop off a check as a donation. It's not ideal, but I wouldn't beat your head against the wall trying to word it to encompass everything. Or maybe "If purchasing digital please check the box as a default".
Hope this helps!
Jessica
We are using pre-cart pages to accomplish this. Feel free to reach out to me at michelle.herring@coloradoballet.org if you'd like to discuss more!
I made a Covid keyword that I can add to onsite admissions and performances. Production seasons with the Covid keyword then have a required Covid health and safety checkbox before people can check out on TNEW. A CSI is created when folks check the box. It's all done with forms and out-of-the-box TNEW functionality.
You can see it in action at https://experience.mcachicago.org/events Just choose any "Museum Admission" performance.
Thank you! I may reach out shortly. I'll check out your pathway first.
Thank you, Casey. Are you saying that the keyword allows the form to remain on pages that only sell live events?
Yes! It's really helpful. Just specify the keyword under "intended use" in the TR_TNEW_CUSTOM_FORM_DATA system table, like so:
