I am looking into establishing on-going training sessions with our Ticket Center staff to review policies and procedures, new organizational structure, Tessitura guidelines, customer service and tips and tricks. I would like to establish a dress code / suggested attire for the Box Office. Representative. Would anyone be willing to share what is used for your organization?
Here's what we have "While WAC allows a limited casual dress for some shifts, during shows and events we should wear business or business-casual attire. Please, no t-shirts or clothing with holes, rips/tears, frays, missing buttons, etc. Name tags and/or badges are required for all lobby and window shifts."
Box office representatives are required to wear business casual attire while at work. As a box office representative, you are often the first impression a patron has of the Arvada Center, and need to dress appropriately while at work to represent the Arvada Center well. Sometimes you will have to walk throughout the entire center, lift boxes, bend, and do other mild physical activity. Your clothing should never interfere with your ability to do any of these activities.
If there's a question in your mind about whether a look is "business casual," ask yourself a few questions:
· Would I wear this to meet a significant other’s mother for the first time?
· Would I wear this clubbing?
· Would I wear this to sleep?
· Would I wear this to do yard work?
· Would I wear this to a costume party?
If the answers are yes, followed by four no's, there's a pretty good chance the outfit is appropriate for work. When in doubt, it's a good idea to err on the side of caution.
