Hello Tessitura Hive mind - really hoping someone out there might have an answer to this question:
Can you use the LTR_TNEW_CUSTOM_FORM tables to add a custom form to a fixed package?
We're moving to placing our Health Check questions in the purchase path for our Admissions performances, and have gotten this to work in our testing TNEW QA environment, and then we were hoping to do the same thing for our onsite Studio Art Classes for this summer (which are sold as packages). But, so far, haven't seen anything using this process that would work with a package. Is this only something you can do as a customization? We already looked at putting it on the checkout page, but that won't work as we sell other things which are online through our web MOS (and we only have one web MOS - no MOS shifty action for packages or other stuff) so it's got to be more event-specific for where we are capturing it.
If we can't capture it in this fashion with the purchase, we may look into sending something out to the buyer much closer to their actual class date (which would perhaps make more sense), but wanted to ask the crowd if they had any nuggets of knowledge that could be thrown at this little question.
Many thanks in advance - regardless of solutions!

Update on this - Tessitura confirmed with us today that it is not currently possible to use the TNEW Custom Forms setup on packages - so that avenue is out. Maybe there will be enhancements down the road for utilizing this functionality?
However, always happy to hear if someone out there has worked out their own solutions for things like this!
Thanks,
Anne
Anne,
We do something like that using a pre-cart customization. More of the details can be found in this thread:
https://community.tessituranetwork.com/tessitura_software_forums/f/tessitura_technical-9/27239/tnew-pre-cart-customization
I am given to understand that there will be a new way of approaching pre-cart customizations, and this does use the current/old method, but if you are interested, I am happy to share what I have.
John
Hi John,
Thanks for pointing me to that thread - it's very much along the lines of what we are looking to do!
I am not the SQL expert in our org, but do most of the event building in our system. We utilize some customizations which Tessitura has coordinated with us, so I am not sure how much we also inject on our own (or IT folks have come up with a few things for various purposes), so we generally try to go for the out-of-the-box solutions first. That being said, it could be worthwhile to see what you have worked out (I just checked your org's website to see if I could find something that would show this in action, but looks like I missed the window on the intro to comedy class). If you could email me directly at aschleigh@mfa.org, I can see if we might be able to look at this and perhaps try it out in our DEV environment.
Thanks and hope all is coming back online with your events as we are rolling along in this new world of Arts-in-a-Pandemic.
Yeah, sorry, someone just took the last spot to that class yesterday, and we do not have any other events currently on sale that use that functionality, nor am I aware of any being announced in the next few days, otherwise I would direct you there.
I will send what I have to you, and hopefully it, if not necessarily a solution, can at least help you out a bit.
