Monetizing digital: Pay What You Can metrics/thoughts

Hi folks,

I'm dong a bit of a dive into monetizing digital content and looking at Pay What You Can v Fixed Price v Donation.  I've got a little bit of data but I was wondering if anyone would like to share their feelings and experience.

I'm super interested in the behaviour of punters to PWYC to see what their behaviours are. I get a feeling that they will prefer to have levels to guide them.

My gut is we'll go with a stepped PWYC model.

  • In case anyone is interested I'm now focussing on a hybrid Live Stream + Social Distance model to offset the loss from the (frankly financially unfeasible) social distance model. 
    I'm trying a little trick (to get past the board) of live streaming a Saturday matinee which is 9pm Friday Pacific US time and a Saturday evening which is 11am London time.  All I need is marketing reach to promote internationally and the sky's the limit.
