I am curious, how is everyone transitioning to working from home? We are particularly struggling with forwarding our phone line to 5+ people to their homes. We are trying to use google voice but it is not working so well. Anyone found something that works?
Thanks in Advance?

Hi Janna,
I think Lisa McCullough at Boston Ballet might have some perspective on this.

We have an older phone system, and the only option for us (without spending $4K) is to forwarding box office calls to a single external phone. I log in and manually make the switch when the box office line opens and closes. Currently, this seems to be working okay - last I heard we weren't receiving too many calls.
Our phone system is a little out of date and not cloud-based. Our office phone is now forwarded straight to voicemail recordings of the voicemails are forwarded to a group email account that we manage. We then call everyone back via Skype which has some issues as people sometimes think we're telemarketers. On the whole it has been working well. Hope everyone is staying safe in the Yale community - go bulldogs!

We've have a VOIP service with a Remote Office feature that accommodates the full desk phone functionality on another device (cell, etc.).
Though we're mostly using MS Teams for internal communication so far.
Since we've already dealt with the initial wave of cancellations, postponements we have closed our Ticket Line and are directly all public inquiries to our Contact Us email.

We have a very old one and is isn't cloud based or have an app. We cannot even update the messages ourselves. It is a Yale selected phone system. I think we need to rally for some sort of upgrade after this.
Thanks! Hope you are staying safe too!
We at Tessitura have used Ring Central for a long time as our support phone system, and it routes to everyone's individual phone lines. I see on Ring Central's site that they are offering a free promotion to non-profits that could be worth looking into.
