How can I show the text, "Sold Out" by a performance online? I have changed the "Status" to Sold Out in the performance details page but no change shows up online. Our system table LTR_TN_WEB_EXPRESS_CONTENT has a listing for SoldOut_Text as "Sold Out!" but I don't know how to invoke that. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Hi Simon,
Just to be clear, I checked and you are using TN Express Web, and some of the previous suggestions in the thread don’t necessarily apply to TN Express Web.
In TN Express Web, the purchase link is never disabled according to availability. It is only disabled and replaced with a message if you take the performance off sale. There are two possible messages that can be displayed, depending on how you take the performance off sale. You can customize the content of the messages with entries in the LTR_TN_EXPRESS_WEB_CONTENT table.
The first message is the NotOnSale_Text. This message is displayed when the current mode of sale for the session exists but is not active (i.e. the current date is outside the MOS active dates).
The second message is the SoldOut_Text. This message is displayed when the On Sale box for a performance is not checked and MOS start date is in the past. Since unchecking the On Sale box locks a performance to all transactions by anyone, it’s pretty rare to use this unless you cancel a performance.
It is also possible to override the purchase link label at the performance level by adding a TN_Express_Buy_Link_Override content entry to the performance. So you could change the label for the performance to “Sold Out” using the content entry, but the link would still be active if someone chose to ignore the label and click it anyway.
You can find all these details and more in the new TN Express Web User Guide. If you want to know where the messaging you see on your site pages comes from, find the corresponding page in the Site Map section of the guide. Each customizable field can be clicked to open a pop up that details where you can customize the message or field. Here’s a link to the one of the single ticket performance page topics so where you can find the sold out message explained. And to read up on the content type you can use to set the purchase link label at the performance level click here.
Oh, and one last thing, the Status field on performances doesn’t do anything. It’s just there for custom reporting (or possibly custom web site coding, but definitely not TN Express Web).

Hi Kevin
This is exactly what I needed! Thanks.
I've gone with the Buy_Link Override option.
We have a promoter who has multiple start times for an event, some of the start time slots are selling well but he wants to push sales towards the quieter ones. The new "purchase" text solution is ideal as we can customise it to just that purpose without making a global change.
Thanks for the very fast reply too!
