Hi there,
Sorry if this has already been asked before but I just watched the Webniar on Facility Management and Troubleshooting and, unless I missed it somehow, there's something that I need clarification on:
I recently used Best Seating in a ticket order requesting 1 ticket. The error message appeared when usually no seats/not enough seats are available but when I then went into the Seat Map there were still 2 tickets available. Is there something within Tessitura, whether it's programmed in Season Maintenance/Facility Manager or otherwise, that doesn't allow single seated gaps to be left?
Just curious more than anything.
Many thanks
Nick
Hi Nick, there is a setting for this in system tables. I'm 99% sure it is in the defaults table. If you filter by the term single, you should find it.
Jordan,
If this is there, I have not heard of it, and I would definitely be curious if this functionality existed. Also, I just searched the word "single" in T_DEFAULTS and only came back with 3 results, all 3 of which were definitely NOT this setting. Any chance this is a custom thing you guys have?
Or, you know, I could be blind and missing something.
John
Hi Nick,
I found this that might be useful for you:
By default, the best seat function reserves contiguous seats only and does not reserve seats that would leave a single seat behind (e.g. two out of three contiguous seats); these defaults can be overridden with a special request.

You can also control whether order placed through TNEW are allowed to leave single seats on a product type or performance basis:

Never mind. I just discovered that ours is doing this now, but I was unaware of that. It definitely did not used to be like that. But yay!
Sorry! It was in the web defaults for TNEW! My brain was deceiving me without Tess open in front of me.
