Tickets not required

Hi all

Is there a way to stop tickets from being printed if they are not required?

As an example we sell dinners in our restaurant through Tess as an event.  We have 3 price types in the event; "2 courses" & "3 courses" which we use for online sales - the customer pays for dinner at that point.  We have another price type that is available to BO staff to reserve a space(s) in the restaurant for customers.  Ideally we do not want to print the reservation tickets i.e when we batch print tickets for a performance and a group of 20 have booked a show and reserved dinner we want to print the show tickets but not the dinner reservation tickets.

I've tried in price type set up, ticketing set up and season manager but you have to allocate a ticket design before you can save.

Is there a solution to my dilemma?!

  • Hi Alec,

If I'm understanding the situation correctly there may be a couple solutions.

    •  make sure the restaurant "Performances" are not selected in your batch ticket printing SEASON MANAGER>BATCH TICKET PRINTING, or
    •  deselect printing to the Modes of Sale used in the restaurant performances TICKETING SETUP>PRODUCTION ELEMENTS (...If you do this, then I don't believe you have to worry about option 1.

    Hope this helps.
