Tessitura Friends,
We are on our first year with Tessitura. We use BOCA printers and we are about to print our subscription tickets for the first time in Tessitura. Does anyone know if it is possible to NOT cut tickets at all? I see a setting in Tessitura to cut tickets in between orders, but I do not see a setting to NOT cut tickets at all?
To give more clarity all subscription tickets where purchased in the Subscription MOS. Subscribers also have the option to add on tickets at a discounted rate. The add on purchases were processed through the Single Ticket MOS therefore there are different orders. Currently, if we cut tickets after each order about 14 will print for Joe Smith and cut, and then 2 more will print out for Joe Smith and cut because he added on a performance. I feel like this will take more babysitting the ticket printer. Ideally it would be nice to NOT cut tickets at all.
If there is a way to leave all tickets uncut? For example, I would print a batch of 500 tickets and let them fold on top of each other. From there a staff member would make sure the tickets are stacking properly. Next we would go through each sleeve of tickets and cut them manually after each constituent, fold those tickets and slip them in our envelopes.
Does anyone have any advice? Any help is much appreciated.
Thank You,
I am only aware of either all tickets cut or cutting between orders. We print with all tickets cut but sort by Constituent Name (alpha order) and Sequence so the header card prints on top. If the patron has multiple orders, they will be put right after the other when we alphabetize. We just know that there will be a header card in-between. When we separate the tickets to package in an envelope we look at the constituent ids printed on the ticket to make sure we keep everything together.
We also go off a list of the batch print (list of names/orders printed) so we can make sure that everything is there and that there were no hiccups where Tessitura sent the tickets for print but it never printed out physically. If the patron's name shows up twice or more, then we know there are multiple orders we need to check for.
I hope this makes sense. I would be happy to talk if you need clarification.
