We have a fixed seat Sunday evening package that needs to be set up for next season. The issue is that one of the four performances will not have a Sunday evening performance so the customer will get to choose any other available night for that production. How would you set up the package?
I like the idea of having a dummy performance in the package to exchange out of but it appears that you cannot exchange or delete Line items or Sub Line items until the package is printed.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Marty
I've done this many times, always using the dummy package route. If you change the min_perfs to one less than however many perfs are in the package normally (she said, assuming there is not currently a minimum) you can delete the sli for the dummy.

Amanda,
I ran a test with your method and looks like this the route to go. Definitely a life saver.
We set the fixed seat package with a minimum # of perfs to 1-less the total # of perfs in the package. Then we delete the unwanted perf in Sub Line items.
The perf the patron wants goes in the subscription order as a one-performance package, but I suppose you could add the perf under the Perf column instead. We went with package instead of perf for reporting purposes.

For what it's worth, we have this situation when package performances as normally scheduled fall on a holiday (one of our Thursday packages has this happen every year due to Thanksgiving). I build and rollover into the T-giving show, then we exchange out everyone into the following week (our shows run 3-4 weeks at a minimum) and "cancel" the fake perf before renewal notices are sent.
