Price Zones Question

Has anyone found a solid work-around to assign more than one price zone to a seat?

  • For context, we have a unique set up... We use zones to assign genders to seats in an event. That allows us to offer gender-balanced classes that are half male, half female. The classes have strictly limited spots, only 8 of each per class, and we even have a customization to keep folks from registering for a seat not of their gender.

We have a very inclusive diversity policy too, though, and are trying to figure out how to offer properly zoned seats to non-binary people without adding an extra seat to an event but also without compromising the number of male/female seats. Ideally, when a student logs in and establishes their gender, that would trigger one of the seats to switch from male or female to non-binary as needed.

I'm totally open to figuring out how to do this from a different angle, but we already use constituencies and attributes for other customizations and I'm not sure what else we can use, lol.

  • Carrie,

I see what it is you're trying to do here.  I don't believe price zones is a possibility

Would it work if you use Sections instead?  Of course, this suggestion would only work if the seat map is GA.
