Has anyone found a solid work-around to assign more than one price zone to a seat?
For context, we have a unique set up... We use zones to assign genders to seats in an event. That allows us to offer gender-balanced classes that are half male, half female. The classes have strictly limited spots, only 8 of each per class, and we even have a customization to keep folks from registering for a seat not of their gender.
We have a very inclusive diversity policy too, though, and are trying to figure out how to offer properly zoned seats to non-binary people without adding an extra seat to an event but also without compromising the number of male/female seats. Ideally, when a student logs in and establishes their gender, that would trigger one of the seats to switch from male or female to non-binary as needed.
I'm totally open to figuring out how to do this from a different angle, but we already use constituencies and attributes for other customizations and I'm not sure what else we can use, lol.
Carrie,
I see what it is you're trying to do here. I don't believe price zones is a possibility
Would it work if you use Sections instead? Of course, this suggestion would only work if the seat map is GA.

Have you thought about using modes of sale and allocations? You could have separate male and female MOS each with their own allocation. But the non-binary MOS could have access to both allocations.
Alas, we already use MOS--we have prerequisites for classes and use MOS and Constiuencies to lock/unlock classes for folks with the right prerequisite. We do not use allocations much, nor have we delved into sections... I will definitely look into those options!
Hmm. We've never used Sections. If we changed the map to GA, can seats be assigned more than one section at a time?
