Hello.
We are in the middle of our Tessitura implementation process and my team has had questions come up regarding using PAHT. In past years, we know that brokers had purchased online, created and sold multiple PAHT copies, thus creating issues. We haven't used PAHT much in the last few years as a result, but recognize that most organizations are offering this convenience to their patrons. Reaching out to the Tessitura collective brain.... how have you dealt with PAHT/broker issues?
Thanks, in advance!
Amy
Hello Amy,
I'd love to see if other orgs have any tricks up their sleeves regarding PAHT and brokers! Brokers are a constant thorn in our side, but we proceed as normal with PAH tickets since that delivery method takes a lot of stress off our box office on the night of the show. A guest can work with their CC company if they have purchased a double-sold ticket from a broker, and we provide paperwork for the guest to give to their CC company if it turns out they have been bilked by a broker. We don't end up seeing all that many double-sold tickets. Otherwise, we take steps to try to limit sales to known brokers by disabling their web logins, and occasionally we will outright cancel their tickets and refund them, but that can be tricky. This obviously doesn't catch all the brokers, and we end up discovering many of our broker sales once a guest reaches out to us.

Hi, Martha,
What kind of paperwork do you provide to your guests to give to their CC company?
Best,
Lisa
We give them a form which we've filled out to pass along to their CC company. Here's a sample of what we provide:

Thanks for sharing this, Martha!
