Multiple Ticket Services/Platforms

Hi Everyone,

I have been tasked with a research project and am trying to identify and hear experiences from those organizations running multiple ticketing services at the same time, whether it be for different venues, presenters, etc. So basically running Tessitura and another platform. I'd love to talk offline with those people as well on the topic.

Secondly, I am happy to take any and all comments, thoughts, and suggestions about running separate services in a single organization, even if you have never done so. Would you consider using separate services for different venues? What are the benefits and hindrances in your opinion?

Any and all input is very welcome on the topic. Thank you!

  • Curtis,

We're in kind of the situation you describe insomuch as we have to ticket through ProVenue (because that's what our local Performing Arts Center uses) but we do just about everything else through Tessitura, including ticketing for our special events and for our Center for Dance Education.

In a perfect world, we wouldn't have to split everything out over multiple platforms; we're actually to the point now where we will be able to import our performance ticketing data into Tessitura after productions close, which will allow us (for the first time) to access all of the relevant data about our constituents in one platform. Unfortunately, we won't ever be able to reflect live ticketing for upcoming performances due to the limitations of the import process and our ability to throw manpower at it.

Happy to answer any questions or converse further on the topic.

    Thank you,

    Brian
