Volunteer Ushers

Hello!

I'm trying to gain some insight into how people schedule their volunteer ushers.  Do you use Tessitura for this?  We are trying to create a more efficent way to do this.  Right now we use Excel to maintain the usher database and schedule.  My idea was to first put all of our volunteers into Tessitura as Volunteers, then build our shows to schedule them into.  Does that make sense?

We've started entering in Volunteer Ushers in a custom screen and using the already built performances to schedule them in Tessi. We looked at a couple of organizations who presented in various conferences (2006 Conference, 3C Custom Screens, Headers & Tabs). We also took large pieces from the Shared Report on TASK #89 which is pretty useful.

So far, so good. Our FOH loves being able to attach ushers to performances and even tracks what position they are in and if they showed/were late/etc.
