Editing Source Codes in Completed Orders

Hi -

We are working on version 8.0 and was wondering is it possible to change a source code used on single ticket and subscription orders?

Currently we can edit a source code on a single ticket transaction; however, when you click 'Done' and reload the order - the newly assigned source code is updated or recorded. On subscription orders, the source code field is grayed out altogether, even though we selected to keep this field blank on all rollover orders.

Any guidance and input would be greatly appreciated.

  • This can be a little confusing, understandably.  There are two places source is used in an order, on the order itself, and on the transactions for the order.  The same applies to contributions.

Changing the source on a reloaded order in the orders module does not change the source for the order, it only affects new transactions created when the order is saved again.

There is a setting in the Mode of Sale setup (Campaigns/References) called "Edit Source Reload" that allows a user to adjust the source code when an order is reloaded.  However, this is just affecting new transactions.  If you save the order, the original order source is still associated to the order.

Starting in v8.0 it is possible to change the Order source by opening the order details window from the Constituent Orders tab.  This can't be done from the Ticketing Orders window.

    Hope that helps.
