Has anyone set up a Pricing Rule which does the following:
When a Purchaser is places a second Performance (Aux Item) in their Cart, the Performance (Aux Item) that has the lowest Original Price is then Discounted?
We do not want the entire Order to be discounted, and we need for the lower priced Performance (Aux Item) to be selected as the Cart Item that's discounted.
Is.

Yeah, Product Only rules are meant for when the criteria to trigger the rule is something other than what’s in the cart (like a source or constituent criteria).
Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s possible to set up a rule to implement your scenario exactly as described.
An Add On rule will allow you to define a group of classes that should not be discounted but will trigger a discount on a different set of classes if they are both in an order together. However if the customer added 3 classes to the order, 1 of the qualifiers and 2 of the discountable classes, both of the discountable classes would be discounted. There isn’t a way to limit the number of discountable products to which an Add On rule is applied.
A Product Volume rule will allow you to trigger a rule based on the number of products added to the order, however the rule will be applied to all of those products. There isn’t a way to limit the number of products to which the rule is applied.

We just found the flaw with this and that is that this will apply the Discount to any Product that is listed first in the Order (which is fine) but EVEN when the Order contains only one (1) Product, which is not fine.
To reiterate, here is what we are now trying to go:
- Discount one (1) Product in the Cart for any Cart that contains two (2) or more Products - it does NOT matter which Product is Discounted
- Products do NOT have to be the same - in fact, in many cases they HAVE to be different
- All the Products are from one (1) Season
Is this possible? We've tried every single type of Pricing Rule and are unable to make this work. Has anyone else been able to?
